Am I going crazy?

I know I'm not crazy or mentally retarded... but sometimes I really feel that I am!

Well at least I have a "true north" to my compass, admist the one million things I don't know. I know that Christ should be glorified in the life a Christian.

I just finished a book by Martha Peace. She is a author of Christian books for women. But wow, let me tell you, her books are for anyone who is a sinner. Women's Christian books a lot of the times use examples of difficulties in child-rearing and showing forebearance to friends and husband. Gives me more of an idea of what bothers women and upsets them. But there wasn't one thing in the book that didn't apply to me as a man. Men struggle with having patience toward others, having right attitudes, and all sorts of other problems women have. Everyone has problems. Ok, bye everyone. Off to Jersey.

I'm studying cardio...

I was never a HUGE fan of cardio, but after studying it... it seems extremely useful. Unfortunately, cardio 3x a week means less time to of good rest for muscles. Thinking realistically, when will you run in a real-life situation? Either you will be running away from something in a strange panic, or you will be running to something because you are in a rush. You don't jog in real life. In both cases, I would expect that a person would be moving fast, maybe 60%-90% of max effort. So if you want to be practical, do interval training for something to get your body used to workin'.

But if you just want an efficient heart, I guess jogging 3x a week is Ok. What am I talking about?

Violin teacher quotes.

Had to document these... Violin teachers say a lot of interesting things. They probably come up with fun ways to insult and teach their students, it's funny:

Some readers submitted stuff they did for their kid's first day of school. I must say, some women are very creative! What's kind of weird is that girls I know do these sort of things. Why do they do that?

"A very fun tradition that we always looked forward to as kids was...On the first day of school, mom would make a "schoolhouse cake" which was very similar to a gingerbread house you might make at Christmas time only looked like a one room schoolhouse with bell up top and all. Eventually it evolved to being just a regular 2 dimensional cake cut out in the shape of a one-room school building. She'd use icing and graham crackers and other things to make it creative. We always looked forward to coming home and having this for dessert after dinner on that first day of school!"

"I am not a mom yet, but here is what I remember my mom doing: The first day of school would start with what we affectionately called "the unveiling." Every year, my mom would purchase our school supplies for us (books for the year, pencils, pens, folders, fun treats, etc). She would then put it all on the dinning room table in nice little stacks and cover it with a huge bed sheet. We would wait until everyone was dressed and ready for the day. Then we gathered around the table to remove the "veil" and discover what cool stuff we had for that year. We got a huge kick out of it."

I will be getting a special scholarship! Glory to God, rejoice like Philippians! "The money comes from the Presser Foundation, on the recommendation of the Student Services Staff..." I asked who decided this.

"And Student Services is the Al Bradley and I here in 1642 SMB (counseling office)."

Mr. Bradley is my wonderful school counselor! I stop by every once in a while to say hello and inquire on his life. I thought it's unfortunate that students only come to him with problems, and since I value what he does I try to show some appreciation. Well the Lord is good, and directed his heart to remember me and help me out!

This frees me and my brain to think about God stuff more and I can have more time to serve too! Thank you for grace. Ultimately, this is another one of those situations that makes God look good- it is just another expression of his grace.
