Awesome blog
I just found the greatest xanga in the world. It's by a mom from Grace Church who has a 2 year old and a newborn. Here's two excerpts. They made me pretty happy.
"we made banana muffins tonight before dinner. phoebe ate two after dinner, which is plenty for a two year old. they were still on the cooling rack, and as i was sitting on the couch feeding jesse, i could hear this chair scooting around in the kitchen. i knew what was going on, so i said, "phoebe, put the muffin back, please." i looked up to see this little hand put a muffin (with a bite taken out of it) back up on the counter. a few minutes later, i hear the chair again. "put it back, phoebe." i looked up and saw the hand again, and the muffin looked a little smaller. she went back to her room. a few minutes later, it was just too quiet. i called out, "phoebe? what are you doing?" and i looked into the kitchen and there was the little hand, putting that now half-eaten muffin back onto the counter! at least i know they were good."
"The other day I wrote this down... We are trying to train her to ask for what she wants politely. She has a long way to go:
"Please... please... ha- have... May I please... I want this! Please I do it!"
